In a report issued by the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) people who display signs or bumper stickers in support of presidential candidate Ron Paul and third party candidates, the Constitution, pro-life, securing the border against illegal immigration, Revolutionary War flags and any right-wing conservative causes should be considered by law enforcement officers as potential threats and possible members of militias.
No left-wing groups were listed as threats. The document itself quotes information provided by the Southern Poverty Law Center so it is likely a major instigator of the report. Some conservative politicians are speaking out against it and others are in “CYA” mode after initially saying they supported it.
